Amazon

The amazon is a river that it fresh water and it has the most fierce creatures in it. Most of the fresh water fish hide in the dark part of the river so they can not be found. The creatures that live in the dark part of the river are andicondes, sting rays, and piranhas. There are many more creatures that live in the dark areas, but there are to many to name off. Divers, when they get in the water and go under they cant see much because the sand starts to stir up. There where sponges in the fresh water, which they thought was weird because most sponges are found in the sea.

A sting ray has enough venom in their tail it can kill one diver. They have barbed tails which is what has the venom in it. They also stay low to the bottom of the river and search for snails to eat. A candor is like a vampire fish, they go into fishes gills and suck their blood. Now for a human they will go up their urecrue and then the person will have to get them surgically removed. Piranhas attack larger creatures and only feed when something is bleeding. Also they swim in packs.

Study of Ocean Waves

We study ocean waves so we can find out what is going to happen in time. Scientists study the ocean to find out more about the ocean and how it works. Also they are study to find out more about earth. We the people use the info. that oceanographers find out so that we know when earthquakes and suenomis are coming. They use the information to find out what is happening and why the waves are doing what they are doing.

Blue Planet Coast

Sea turtles live in the ocean and also live on the coast, but only the females live on the coast if they are laying their eggs. The male will stay in the ocean all the time, they never come out of the water for anything. Female turtles in this movie laid their eggs on the coast of Australia. The mothers will lay thousands of eggs in the sand so they stay warm and predators wont eat them, they also spend all night making sure that the sand is covering the eggs and nothing can get them. The eggs will hatch within nine weeks. Birds will be waiting for the baby turtles to come out of the sand so they can eat them. About one- third of the baby turtles out of one nest will make it to the sea, but also when they make it to the sea other sea creatures are waiting to eat them, too. Now all the baby turtles put together that hatch is over two million hatchlings.

The Coral Seas

In the coral seas movie I found that there is a poisons starfish in the sea that eat things with its tinikals underneath it. When it was going over coral on this reef there was a crab that was living there. The starfish was trying to attack the reef, but the crab was using its pinchers to attack the starfish so it could live. Then when the starfish was over the crab the crab was attacking it from underneath and the starfish left the crabs home alone.

Something else that i thought was interesting in this movie was that there is this fish type thing called a Bandib pipe fish, they stay close to the reef. The malle and female stay together for ten minutes to get to know each other basically. Then they start to twine together, the female releases the eggs and then the male takes them and pats down the eggs on his stomach so they stay. The female leaves after she gives off her eggs, but she comes back every morning tell they are born. It takes ten days for the eggs to hatch. The female will have to wait twenty days to reproduce.

My blog is over penguins because they are the biggest survivors trying not to get eaten by sea lions. I think they are very interesting because of the way they live and survive.

During the video i thought that it was interesting that turtles try to stay away from their enemies and just flot around the ocean and try to find a safe place for there eggs to lay. Me and my partner did not get to finish the measurements that we were suppose to do so we will finish that when got time in class
